Yeah! Congratulations on your Richardson Apartment!

I want to provide a complete check list of things to take care of when moving.

As we all know and have mentioned before, the act of moving a lot of pesky details.

The following checklist is useful to help you remember all those pesky details.

• Secure moving boxes at a local Wal-Mart after 12 midnight FREE! Always get more boxes than you think you need.

• Get a quote to hire a moving truck. To secure the best deal and get the best rates, plans to move Sunday to Thursday. If someone else will move you, arrange deals in a private meeting to review your stuff. Consider purchasing additional insurance if you are concerned.

• Pack up rooms that you use the least in advance. Set aside cleaning supplies and paper towels, toilet paper and a few bottles of water to take in the car with you to the new place.

• Label all your boxes move after they enter the room Notify movers to look for the label, then put them in the space specified.

• Mentally place your furniture in your new Richardson Apartment. Then, sketch a floor plan of your new apartment and furniture each label with the numbers. Copy for your movers and implement your numbering to your furniture with a piece of masking tape.

• After you secure your new apartment home, complete the change of address form to mail to usps.com. Also remember to update your new address in your workplace and your SIM card, insurance, magazine subscriptions, and your best friend.

• Call and arrange for your equipment has switched to a new location, preferably five days before your move.

• Confirm 2 days before your move with your mover and friends (if they will help you move.) Re-confirm the delivery date if you move your furniture around the country.

• Arrange for a friend to keep your pets on moving day, if possible. Movers going in and out all day, so it is difficult to look after your pet.

• Clean your old apartment as soon as it empty. Dont forget to clean your garage, if you have one. You may be charged to leave things in the apartment or garage. The goal: get your deposit back.

• Order pizza and beer on hand to feed the family / friends of the moving crew. If you use a mover, be sure to offer water or cola.

• Walk your old apartment with the manager or assistant manager. Discuss where they will be charged. Ask what you can expect to receive your deposit back.

• Send out “I just moved” notice by email to all your friends!
